Duplexes.com connects people interested in multi-family real estate (duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes) with local real estate agents who are knowledgeable about their local multi-family market. We also showcase featured multi-family properties from those agents in each market we cover.

Is Duplexes.com a brokerage?

No. Duplexes.com is a marketing website designed to help brokers with multi-family listings connect with investors and buyers all over the country. We do not represent or endorse any of the listings that agents have listed for sale on the site.

Who owns Duplexes.com?

Duplexes.com is a passion project designed and run by the same team that launched Highrises.com in 2005 and ran it until it was acquired in 2021. We have extensive experience creating and growing niche real estate sites, but we also welcome any feedback you may have about how we can improve the site. Why work with a multi-family specialist instead of any agent?

The actual mechanics of purchasing a 2-4 unit multi-family home are very similar to purchasing a single-family home. The complication lies in evaluating each property and finding the one that is the best fit for you and your portfolio. How do I find the right agent for me?

Browse your market on Duplexes.com. Each agent's multi-family listings and published content are visible on the site, so you can see for yourself who is active and experienced in your area. Agents with the most multi-family listings will be listed in the leaderboard for each city, which gives you a transparent look at who has local experience.

Are the featured properties the only ones available?

No. Featured properties are a sample of what the agents in each market are working on. They may have pocket listings and know of other properties about to come on the market, so it's worth reaching out to discuss your objectives with them. We also include a sampling of the newest multi-family listings in each market so you can see what's new on the market.

Does it cost anything to use Duplexes.com?

No - Browsing the site and contacting agents is free. And we don't charge the agents a referral so there's no chance that finding them on Duplexes.com could add to your cost of working with them.

Can Duplexes.com tell me if a property is a good investment?

No. Duplexes.com is an informational resource and a way to connect with local experts. It doesn't provide investment, legal, or tax advice. A knowledgeable agent, along with your own financial and legal professionals, can help you evaluate any property. Each listing has info that has been uploaded by the listing agent and is not independently verified by Duplexes.com.

What types of properties can I list?

You're welcome to add duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and 5+ listings. We'll also accept single-family homes that have a permitted ADU.

What kind of content can I contribute besides listings?

You're welcome to submit blog posts about your local market, such as neighborhood trends, rental demand, how you evaluate deals and investor-focused tips. It must be original content and human written in order to be approved. Quality content like this helps buyers see you as a local expert, and also helps your content get discovered by search engines and AI tools.

How do I get started?

It's easy! Just create a free account and start adding your listings. If you'd like you can just email your listing's street address to support@duplexes.com and we'll even add it to your dashboard for you!

How can you do this for free?

We're just starting out, so we're offering free accounts and listings during our Beta launch. We hope one day to have enough traffic to justify charging for a listing. But for now any listing you add to this site is free and will stay free once it's been added.

Can more than one agent be featured in the same market?

Yes, we allow as many agents in each market as have multi-family listings they want to add. Our leaderboard in each market ranks the agents by how many listings they've added to Duplexes.com, both active and sold.

How long is my listing on the site?

The listing will stay active for 90 days. After that you'll have to confirm it's still active for it to continue showing on the site. You can keep doing that every 90 days until it sells. Once it's sold we ask you to change the status to Sold and then it will stay in your profile as a Sold listing and will count towards your total in the leaderboard.

I work two markets. Can I be in both on Duplexes.com?

Absolutely. When you create your account just check the box next to every market you're licensed to have listings in.

I have a multi-family listing but it's co-listed with another broker. Can I add it?

Yes. If you're one of the listing agents in the MLS you can add your listing to Duplexes.com. If you want to include your co-listing agent they can create an account and then you can add them to your listing once their profile is set up.
